SAY Detroit

The Physical Therapy Program at Wayne State University was established in 1966 in Detroit. Given our proximity to Detroit and the reputation Wayne State University has with pro bono work and research, two student run clinics have been established in the heart of Detroit: The Diabetes Education Wellness (DEW) Clinic and the Super All Year (SAY) Detroit Physical Therapy clinic. These clinics were developed to provide services to aid in the treatment and promotion of health and wellness of the underserved and uninsured population in Detroit. Both clinics offer maintenance and preventative healthcare to those who qualify. The unique aspect of both of these initiatives is that they are primarily student run. The DEW clinic includes pharmacy, social work, nutrition, occupational therapy, medicine, clinical lab sciences, and physical therapy graduate students to give a multidisciplinary approach to management and treatment of diabetes. The SAY Detroit Physical Therapy Clinic offers physical therapy services.
