Ace CARE is a pro bono physical therapy clinic run by University of Evansville Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) students. Patients who are uninsured, underinsured or homeless have the opportunity to receive physical therapy services on the University of Evansville campus at no cost to the patient. Ace CARE has also expanded its services to include a health and wellness component, a group exercise program for individuals who have had a stroke. Combining the educational experience of physical therapy students with the growing need for such services in our community, Ace CARE is an opportunity for DPT students to expand their social awareness and professional skills. Student therapists treat patients under the supervision of local physical therapists who volunteer their time and expertise to make a difference in the Evansville community.
